Julie started Work-Comp Management Services, Inc. (WCMS) in 1996. Her work experience includes developing WCMS into a 90 employee, multi-state occupational health and medical services company working in 15 states, providing on-site comprehensive occupational health clinics tailored to meet each clients’ needs. Julie recruits experienced medical staff, then develops and implements customized on-site programs.

Lisa was hired as a collector/clinic representative by WCMS in 2006, soon obtaining certifications and a thorough knowledge base of everything drug and alcohol testing related. Lisa took over and built the full-service drug screening division of WCMS in 2009, and tripled the business within 3 years. Lisa built the WCMS clinic team of drug screening professionals, and WCMS now provides services to over 70 clients in Indiana and other states. WCMS has won the Michigan Supplier Diversity award at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan for the past three years for managing all of their drug screening across the state. WCMS works with several school systems in Indiana to provide student drug testing services on-site.

Dr. Joseph Berley

WCMS Medical Director

Dr. Berley has practiced in the field of corporate occupational health for over 25 years and has distinguished his career by holding various Directorship and Vice-President Positions for Mobil, Tenneco, and Pactiv Corporation.

Dr. Berley received his Medical Doctorate Degree from the University of Florida and completed Internal Medicine Residency through the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons at Mary Imogene Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown, NY. He has also obtained advanced education in public health and has extensive experience in the assessment, development, and implementation of programs and initiatives related to corporate occupational health. All efforts are focused on assisting clients with achieving operational goals and objectives and maximizing the overall value of programs, policies, and procedures to improve employee health and productivity while controlling health-related costs.

Dr. Berley is a Member of the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine, the American College of Physicians, and the American Medical Association. He is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Medical Examiners.

April Kaufman is our WCMS Office Manager, Certified DATIA Collector, Certified BAT Train the Trainer. Manages our drug screening programs for larger off-site clients such as BC/BS for the state of Michigan.

Dean Kelly

Dean Kelly, Adult Family Nurse Practitioner, joined WCMS in August of 2018. Dean has extensive experience in occupational health/workers compensation, working at a local occ health clinic for over 11 years taking care of injuries, performing medical surveillance physicals and testing, and providing excellent care and communication to employers and employees alike.

Dean also has employer sponsored on-site clinic experience, providing primary and urgent care services to employer populations in manufacturing environments.

Nanette is a long time member of the Lafayette Community.
She knew at a very young age that her passion was caring for others. She has helped deliver hundreds of babies in this community. She completed her Master’s degree in nursing at Purdue University to expand her ability to treat patients in internal medicine. She enjoys connecting with patients: performing Physical Examinations and teaching Wellness Lifestyle.
In her spare time, Nanette enjoys cooking, exercising, reading, gardening, church activities, and spending time with her husband and 3 adult children and her many friends.
