Matt Veve

President of WCMS

With over 25 years of experience in the health care industry and 15 years in health care management, I have a proven track record of driving operational excellence and leading high- performing teams. Throughout my career, I have developed and implemented strategic plans that improve productivity, optimize resources, and exceed organizational objectives. My expertise in managing large-scale projects, combined with a strong focus on leadership, has enabled me to consistently deliver results in dynamic and complex environments. Since joining Work Comp Management Services in 2020 as Regional Manager, I have successfully overseen operations across multiple locations, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. I take pride in my ability to lead diverse teams, align them with organizational goals, and ensure that every project is executed to the highest standards. Outside of work, I enjoy outdoor activities, staying active, and playing music, which allows me to maintain a healthy work-life balance and remain energized in both my personal and professional pursuits.

Julie Ott

Under Julie's leadership since 1996, WCMS has experienced remarkable growth, expanding to a team of 90 dedicated employees. The company operates across 15 states, delivering on-site comprehensive occupational health clinics that are specifically tailored to meet the unique needs of each client. Julie's ability to understand and address the diverse requirements of different industries has been instrumental in the company's success. Julie's innovative thinking and strategic approach drive the development and implementation of customized on-site programs. She understands that every organization has its own distinct culture, objectives, and workforce dynamics. By tailoring WCMS' services to meet these specific needs, Julie ensures that clients receive comprehensive, effective, and efficient occupational health solutions. Through Julie's vision, Work-Comp Management Services, Inc. has become a respected leader in the occupational health and medical services industry. Dr. David Holt

WCMS Medical Director

Dr. David Holt received his medical degree from New York Medical College in Valhalla, NY, and completed his general surgery residency and abdominal transplant surgery fellowship at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD. After completion of his training Dr. Holt became Surgical Director of the Liver Transplant Program at INOVA Fairfax Hospital in Fairfax, VA. With a desire to return to academic medicine, Dr. Holt joined the faculty of Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago, IL, where for over a decade he served as Director of Undergraduate Education for the Department of Surgery, Director of the Kidney Transplant Program and Co- Director of the Liver Transplant Program. He also practiced general surgery and served on many committees and in a variety of roles including Assistant Chief of Surgery and Director of the Surgical Intensive Care Unit at the Hines VA Hospital in Hines, IL, while obtaining the rank Professor of Surgery. He later became the Surgical Residency Program Director for St. James Hospital in Olympia Fields, IL. Dr. Holt also has extensive experience in trauma and emergency surgical care. This extensive training and practice have provided Dr. Holt with broad experience in general medicine, fitness evaluations, evaluation and treatment of traumatic and non-traumatic injuries, as well as the administration, development and growth of various clinical and educational programs. After relocating back to his hometown of Rochester, NY, Dr. Holt joined Precision Occupational Health Management, Inc., as Senior Associate. During this tenure Dr. Holt has gained further experience and expertise in occupational and environmental health, including fitness for duty evaluations, mandatory Employee Assistance Program referrals, review of Workers’ Compensation cases, clinical review and work-relatedness determinations of alleged workplace injuries and audiometric hearing conservation shifts, respiratory protection program evaluations, pre- employment assessments, health & welfare program reviews, onsite clinic oversight and clinical consultation, and policy and procedural development. Dr. Holt has also obtained certification in the medical review of drug and alcohol testing from the Medical Review Officer Certification Council (MROCC). Dr. Holt is a member of the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and Diplomat of the American Board of Surgery.

Lisa Boone

WCMS Operations Manager

As the Operations Manager at WCMS, Lisa is a highly skilled and accomplished professional who has played a pivotal role in the company's success. Hired in 2006 as a collector/clinic representative, Lisa quickly obtained certifications and developed a comprehensive knowledge base in all aspects of drug and alcohol testing. In 2009, Lisa took charge of the full-service drug screening division at WCMS and spearheaded its growth. Within a remarkably short span of three years, she tripled the business, highlighting her exceptional leadership and strategic abilities. Under Lisa's guidance, the WCMS clinic team of drug screening professionals was established, enabling WCMS to expand its services to over 70 clients across Indiana and other states. Lisa's expertise has been particularly instrumental in providing comprehensive programs that support school system drug and alcohol testing. These programs are now widely utilized by multiple school systems nationwide. Lisa's responsibilities extend beyond testing services as she also manages Human Resources operations, ensuring that WCMS maintains a strong and capable workforce. Her multidimensional role demonstrates her versatility and effectiveness as a leader within the organization. Lisa's exceptional leadership, expertise in drug and alcohol testing, and ability to manage both testing services and HR operations make her an invaluable asset to WCMS. Her commitment to providing comprehensive programs and her contribution to global operations highlight her dedication to the company's success.

April Washam

Manager - Clinic & Lab

April Washam is an accomplished professional serving as the Manager of Clinic and Lab Services at WCMS. With her expertise and certifications, she plays a crucial role in managing the WCMS Clinic and supporting overall operations with a focus on excellence. April holds certifications as a Certified DATIA Collector and Certified BAT Train the Trainer. These certifications demonstrate her proficiency and comprehensive knowledge in employee testing services. Her expertise allows her to provide invaluable guidance and support to clients seeking reliable and accurate testing solutions. As the manager of the WCMS Clinic, April ensures that clinic operations run smoothly and efficiently. Denise Pullen

With a wealth of experience in both outpatient and hospital-based phlebotomy, she plays a crucial role in providing full-service specimen collection for our client groups. Denise conducts her daily business with a high level of professionalism and courtesy, ensuring that clients receive top-quality service. Her expertise in phlebotomy allows her to collect specimens efficiently and accurately, ensuring reliable results for testing. Denise's commitment to excellence, professionalism, and rich experience in phlebotomy make her a valuable asset to WCMS and our clients. Carmelina Hernandez

WCMS Client Service Representative
Bilingual

As a bilingual professional, Carmelina offers the added advantage of providing administrative support in multiple languages. Her language skills enable effective communication and engagement with diverse client groups, ensuring that their needs are met and understood. She is committed to delivering exceptional service and collaborating closely with our clients to meet their specific administrative needs. Carmelina is a certified BAT and drug screen collector, is trained in vaccine administration, TB skin testing, trained phlebotomist, and PFIT certified. Carmelina graduated with her degree in Associate of Applied Science in Medical Assisting. Certified by the AAMA. Carmelina continues to strive to further her medical education. Her commitment to always being compassionate and kind makes her a well-rounded medical technician, and a valuable member of our staff. In her free time, Carmelina loves spending time with her two little ones, reading, and working out.

Bridget Swing

FNP - C

Bridget Swing is a Family Nurse Practitioner who specializes in occupational and family health medicine. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Indiana University Kokomo School of Nursing and went on to work at a local area hospital specializing in cardiac care, labor and delivery, Day Surgery, PACU and preadmission testing. Looking to better serve her patients, she pursued a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree from Ball State University. She holds a national board certification with the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. In her spare time, Bridget enjoys working in her garden, reading, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

Jennifer Simmons

 Physician Assistant - PA

Jennifer Simmons is a certified Physician Assistant (PA) in Indiana with experience in occupational medicine, urgent care, family medicine, and PA education. She obtained both her Bachelor of Science degree in Health Science and Master of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Indiana University Indianapolis (IUPUI). She was named PA Educator of the Year in 2023 by the Indiana Academy of Physician Assistants. Jennifer loves connecting with patients and educating them while showing compassion and empathy. She is thrilled to be part of the WCMS team. Jennifer lives in Indianapolis with her husband and two children. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and spending quality time with her loved ones.

Trish Wozniak

Trish is a well rounded, personable, and professional NCCPA-certified physician assistant with 10+ years expertise. Licensed and registered physician assistant in multiple states. Competent in Virtual Medicine, Family Medicine, Urgent Care, Occupational Health, Substance Abuse, Mental Health, and Pain Management Adept at conducting medical examination and interpreting X-ray & laboratory reports as part of suggesting effective treatment plans. Proficient in analyzing patients' medical history and maintaining records as part of streamlining medical processes & facilitating patient care. Skilled in conducting and assisting in clinical research.
